Leadership

John Cecilian, Jr.

CEO & Founding Partner

John grew up in a family built-on entrepreneurial spirit. His mother, Kathleen Cecilian, has helped to create powerful brands for some of the most respected master planned community developers.

He has spent the last seventeen years in retail management and strategy working for a variety of global lifestyle brands during a time of hyper growth and emergence. From Abercrombie & Fitch, to Michael Kors before their IPO, to the first Brand House Division store for Under Armour. He is an expert in retail strategy, customer experience, and the recruitment and training of teams and people.

For years, John has gleaned insights into the broken nature of the customer journey for community developers and production home builders. He truly understands how to answer this void in the marketplace and fully believes he has assembled a team of outside industry experts to help overcome the customer obstacles plaguing this category of real estate in the formation of Cecilian Partners.

John holds a Master of Business Administration in Systems Thinking and Global Finance from Villanova University, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Psychology from Duquesne University. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

Philip Worland

CSO & Founding Partner

As founding partner and CSO for Cecilian Partners, Philip brings 10+ years of experience from Accenture’s Strategy practice, advising the senior leadership of Fortune 500 companies on growth and operational strategy. His experience helping clients across technology, industrial, hospitality, energy, and consumer goods industries gives him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities that exist across the market.

Most recently, Philip was a founding member of Bloom – Accenture’s digital growth incubator. He led small teams of strategists, designers, data scientists, and developers to partner with clients and build new digital businesses targeting ideas that had $1B+ valuations.

He was a pioneer in “human-centered” strategy and design, combining traditional strategy rigor with design creativity, data insights, and real technology build, and is excited to bring a fresh approach to growth and experience in the real estate industry.

Philip holds degrees in mathematical economics and management from Rice University and the London School of Economics.

Vaclav Shatillo

COO & Founding Partner

Vaclav is a Founding Partner and COO of Cecilian Partners. During his career he has helped various multinational retail clients shift their focus towards understanding their customer. He believes this shift begins with establishing valuable behaviors among consumers, then fostering those behaviors, and finally motivating customers to become more loyal through relevant touch points.As part of this process, Vaclav has helped clients to design and implement loyalty, CRM and CDP initiatives at the SMB and enterprise levels.

He also has expertise in customer experience, having lead the voice of the customer program at a Fortune 300 company. Vaclav thinks that the foundation of any customer experience initiative is predicated upon a cultural shift within the company that allows the voice of the customer to be heard within the organization.

Vaclav is passionate about using consumer data to solve business problems and unlock new opportunities.

He holds a master’s degree in Classics from University of Arizona and an MBA from Temple University Fox School of Business with a specialization in Strategic Management. Vaclav is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

Our Team

Todd Schoenfeld

Director of Customer Success

As Director of Customer Success, Todd brings nearly 4 years of master planned community development experience to Cecilian Partners. As a concurrent employee with Republic Property Group, Todd works directly under Republic’s Co-CEOs, Tony Ruggeri and Jake Wagner.

Todd has been acting as the Product Manager of The XO since 2016. He led the onboarding and deployment of The XO for each of Republic Property Group’s large-scale master planned communities, Walsh and Light Farms, including the discovery, training, and ongoing customer service for each project.

Since graduating with a degree in business economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015, Todd has looked to challenge industry norms in order to develop innovative projects and leave his mark on the field of development. He brings a unique and extensive knowledge of the development process.

Todd is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and is currently involved regionally through the ULI North Texas Partnership Forum.
